What Is A Raging RINO?

Raging RINOs are conservatives, moderates, libertarians and non-partisan thinkers who don't follow the Republican party line off a cliff like lemmings. Their beliefs differ, but as a group they lean towards a thinking and logical approach rather than the mindless "follow the leader" and "repeat the talking points" viewpoint so prevalent today. While RINO is an abbreviation for Republican In Name Only, we are not all registered Republicans. We don't drink the party "kool aid".

The Raging RINOs were founded in June of 2005 by The Commissar at The Politburo Diktat in order to get these writers, thinkers and bloggers together and allow them to find each other and communicate. In his first post in forming the Raging RINOs The Commissar wrote:

Are RINO’s an endangered species? How can Conservative bloggers who might not want to drink the Party Kool-Aid on every single issue (ESCR, Schiavo, small government, fiscal responsibility, senatorial compromises, free markets/trade, pandering to Creationists, etc.) find each other? Maybe you’re just concerned about rhetorical excesses by “our side.”

His words are a good summation of the differing beliefs of all those in the Raging RINOs.
